- Vermont E. coli Outbreak Associated with Ground Beef
There are 9 confirmed cases of E. coli O157:H7 in Vermont that have been associated with the consumption of ground beef at a few Vermont restaurants. - Lettuce E. coli Outbreak
Over 40 people in Michigan, Illinois, Ohio and Canada have been sickened by iceberg lettuce. The outbreak has been associated with Aunt Mid’s iceberg lettuce. - Michigan E. coli Outbreak Associated with Aunt Mid’s Iceberg Lettuce
26 people in Michigan have been sickened in an E. coli outbreak associated with iceberg lettuce distributed by Aunt Mid’s Produce Company. - MSU E. coli Outbreak Associated with Aunt Mid’s Iceberg Lettuce
Seven Michigan State University students and 19 other people in Michigan have contracted E. coli infections after consuming lettuce, some of it distributed by Aunt Mid’s Produce Company, a Detroit firm. - E. coli 0111 Outbreak Associated with Country Cottage Restaurant in OK
This is an outbreak of E. coli 0111 infections, and well water at the Country Cottage tested positive for E. coli. - Nebraska Beef and Coleman E. coli Outbreak
A multi-state E. coli outbreak has been linked to Nebraska Beef products sold under the Coleman brand. Several of the Massachusetts E. coli cases that are part of this outbreak were sold by Whole Foods Market. A Virginia E. coli outbreak at Goshen Scout Reservation has been linked to Nebraska Beef products that were sold to Cargill and then to Sodexo, the food service provider for Goshen Scout Reservation. - Nebraska E. coli Outbreak
At least 9 cases of E. coli O157:H7 in Nebraska have been connected by genetic testing. Health officials have not determined the source of this outbreak. - Dorothy Lane Recall and E. coli Outbreak
Dorothy Lane has been linked to E. coli infections in Ohio. The resulting Dorothy Lane recall is of certain beef products that originated with Nebraska Beef, Ltd., a company that has recalled over 6 million pounds of beef products in the last several weeks. - Connecticut E. coli Outbreak Associated with Town Farm Dairy
Four cases of E. coli and several hospitalizations have been associated with the consumption of raw milk sold by Town Farm Dairy of Simsbury, Connecticut. Town Farm Dairy was ordered by the Connecticut State Health Department to cease all selling and production of milk and dairy products in response to the outbreak. - Georgia E. coli Outbreak Linked to the Barbecue Pit and Nebraska Beef
According to the CDC, one of 8 confirmed cases of E. coli in Colquitt County, Georgia has been genetically matched to the Michigan and Ohio E. coli outbreak linked to Kroger ground beef and Nebraska Beef, Ltd. ground beef components. - Michigan and Ohio E. coli Outbreak Linked to Kroger Ground Beef and Nebraska Beef, Ltd.
There are now 45 confirmed cases in an E. coli outbreak that started in Michigan (Michigan E. coli) and Ohio (Ohio E. coli) and spread to Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky and New York. 9 people from Thurston and Pierce Counties have lab-confirmed cases of E. coli O157:H7 that may be linked to bagged lettuce. Federal, state and local health officials are investigating this outbreak. - Minnesota Preschool E. coli Outbreak
An E. coli outbreak at Wonder World Preschool in the town of Slayton, Minnesota has led to eight confirmed cases of E. coli O157:H7. One child has been hospitalized and is showing signs of hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS). - Nebraska E. coli Outbreak Associated with Roast Beef
Nebraska E. coli outbreak associated with roast beef has sickened at least 14 people. Epidemiological evidence indicates that those sickened ate the roast beef at a private event at a Sarpy County reception hall on March 26, 2008. - Rochester Meat Recall - California and Wisconsin E. coli Outbreak
Rochester Meat Company has recalled about 188,000 pounds of ground beef due to possible contamination with E. coli O157:H7. At least 6 people have contracted E. coli O157:H7 infections associated with eating Rochester Meat Company ground beef served in restaurants and food service institutions in Wisconsin and California.
